why oh why

Have seen in lots of shops, some ironic and some not. But still. Why would you want a giant polar bear across your body?

I blame Stella McCartney and those sodding horse t-shirts she produced 7 years ago (or thereabouts....).

I don't get it either.

I would no more wear a sweatshirt with a polar bear on it than I would wear a Winnie The Pooh nightshirt

cheesesarnie · 08/01/2010 21:58

i like the topshop ones.theyre more ironic.

but you can beat this.

Agree, it's all very 80's Ok for young teens but yuk on grown women. But then I'm prob very out of touch.

southeastastra · 08/01/2010 22:06

CarmenSanDiego · 08/01/2010 22:06

Oh dear, I had a phase of wearing Bang on the Door shirts in the sixth form. I got one and liked it so much I had about four of them and it all got a bit silly abd embarrassing.

southeastastra · 08/01/2010 22:07

mmm

tulpe · 08/01/2010 22:09

But Carmen, you were in the 6th Form and, as far as I am aware, all fashion crimes committed during student years are forgivable.......or at least so I try to convince myself

CarmenSanDiego · 08/01/2010 22:14

I need a new typist

MrsSeanBean · 08/01/2010 23:28

personal taste is a strange thing!

SpeedyGonzalez · 08/01/2010 23:38

So glad I'm not the only one who pukes at these 'fashion' horrors. That wolf coat is waaaaay beyond the pale.

MillyR · 08/01/2010 23:47

If Topshop sells a Springer Spaniel top, I will buy it.

LetThemEatCake · 09/01/2010 00:06

I have a horse print dress

Not even Stella, I further to say.

Or is that a mitigating factor?

I saw a teenager I know at Christmas wearing a jumper with an animal on the front. She also had a trendy haircut which didn't suit her - such a shame as she could be stunning looking (I know she has been approached by modelling agencies). Hopefully as she gets older she will be more confident about wearing things that suit her rather than just because they are in fashion...

ironlikealion · 09/01/2010 10:39

Hmm OK for toddlers or Christmas jumper in the privacy of your own home IMO

BonjourIvressedeNoel · 09/01/2010 15:46

I had a hhorse one in the80s and I'm going to be sitting out the trend this time round.
