Not really style or beauty - but where do I buy warm pyjamas?

All the pyjamas in the shops, even if reasonably warm fabric, seem to have little vest tops. I want sleeves! I really feel the cold and I'm suffering in this weather. Where can I get some really warm pyjamas without spending a fortune (I'm 8 weeks pg so they'll probably fit for a couple of months but not much longer).

don't M&S have some with l/s tops?

I always buy my pj bots from sainsbos and then wear with a cheapy l/s tee shirt (in a complementary shade, natch) if I'm cold ...?

I always get mine from Primark.

woowa · 08/01/2010 16:54

Saw some in the Laura Ashley sale this week - lovely thick cotton, gorgeous colours (copies of vintage Laura Ashley prints), Long sleeves. Yum. Pricier than primark but delicious!

sowhatitsonlysnow · 08/01/2010 16:58

Another vote for Primark.

dexter73 · 08/01/2010 17:00

Primark do fleecy pyjamas with long sleevd tops.

This henley sleep tee

plus

these PJ bottoms

I love The White Company - lovely items, lovely shops, lovely staff and a great sale with good stock levels.

(Take note Boden, I am defecting.)

Your best bet is to buy men's PJs. Usually lovely and cosy, plenty of room for growth and also front opening top if you plan on breastfeeding. I love my tartan fleecy ones (don't think DP is quite so keen but I'm lovely and warm if not hot )

Petsville · 08/01/2010 19:10

Thanks everyone - grateful for all the suggestions. I really like those White Company ones, and men's PJ's also sound good (though early stages of breastfeeding will be August/September if all goes well, so even I might not want flannel pyjamas at that stage!).

Try Hush. I have several things from there already and I am in love with it all. Very warm and cosy.

Their sale starts on Monday. If anything you want is sold out then email to be put on the waiting list. I did this with a dress I wanted before Christmas. I put my name on the waiting list in the morning and by early evening I had an email to say they had more stock in

jamaisjedors · 08/01/2010 20:15

thanks for the recommendation, have just ordered the white company ones although even in the sale they are still expensive.

I have 2 pairs of hush ones which I alternate but find them a bit baggy and the labels a bit scratchy...

Hope these will be good.

loobylolly · 08/01/2010 20:22

I think the best bet is not pyjamas at all, but thermal underwear - e.g. Universal Textiles online. Long johns and long sleeve thermal tops. much cosier than any pjs I've ever owned! And cheap as chips as well.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 08/01/2010 20:22

La redoute!
As you are pg buy a couple of sizes up.

fruitstick · 08/01/2010 20:28

I've just bought some Cyberjammies - long sleeve, and toasty and warm. Have ribbon waistband so a sie up should do you nicely until you are about to drop.

lucykate · 08/01/2010 20:30

landsend do some 'dream fleece' pj's, they're not the best looking things in the world but are very cosy, and very warm.

vesela · 08/01/2010 20:51

I've just bought some People Tree pyjamas - fantastic quality, lovely white brushed cotton jersey. I got them in the sale from an online shop called b-fair.

paddingtonbear1 · 08/01/2010 23:32

I got some fleecy pjs from tk maxx.
