DS1 is starting school tomorrow and i need to get some 'pracical'-ergh i hate that word- boots that have got good grip and are waterproof.
I hate all the OTT fluffy type ones and loathe the 'walking shoes' style.
Any ideas?

I have had my Musto boots for about 3 years and the heels are still as good as new. I pretty much live in them in the winter as they are so brilliant. Also they are good for dogwalking as they are warm, waterproof and comfortable to walk for miles in.
I don't do much to them. If they get very muddy I clean them with a wet cloth and occasionally I put Nikwax on them.

I got mine from blacks.co.uk, but I just looked and they only have them left in a 4.

The fitting is fairly flexible actually. The boot has a kind of elasticated gusset which is held together with leather and elastic straps. Nice and practical and decorative at the same time.

Posh Hunters.

I got some black snakeskin effect ones and I love em.

Need warm socks inside though. Or liners.

bizarre names those ecco boots have - would you buy boots called 'freeze'?
