Mine are:-

  1. to get to bed earlier- aim to get to sleep by 10pm every night (unless I have a hot social engagement of course)
  2. continue to e-bay off my no-longer-required clothes
  3. find the perfect bag

and yours???

dexter73 · 02/01/2010 19:24

I have perfick fangs (had 2 fillings when I was 5)too but flossing is good and makes your teeth feel really clean!

AngelinaJolly · 02/01/2010 19:40

I floss too and it does make a difference IMO and is also good for gums. just look:

Glee- what did you see that was so awful?

To buy less but more wisely.

To step up grooming and lose that final pesky half a stone.

Glee - am off to bicester on the 13th so will check out dkny for snoods.

CybilsDrivel · 02/01/2010 19:58

Well.....

I might be a devil and get myself an electric toothbrush as I fear I have inherited my Dads crumbling teth.

I'm going to , like tracey, buy less but better stuff (have already started this)

To eat low GI food (NOT A DIET TO ALL THOSE ON THAT OTHER THREAD) to get rid of muffins

AngelinaJolly · 02/01/2010 21:07

Cybil- Boots had a half price offer on leccy tooth brushes recently- I have a Sonicare and I love it.

SirCharlieStinkySocks · 02/01/2010 21:09

I love my Sonicare, got it from Amazon really cheaply last year it's the 'healthy white' one, brill little gizmo, wouldn't be without it despite dp saying it's a waste of money.

lupo · 02/01/2010 21:38

have got way too many clothes and shoes, but trying to only buy stuff i really really like....must stop buying stuff..

tulpe · 02/01/2010 23:47

Am only buying items I really love.

Will stop bitching about "not having enough time" to be perfectly groomed and spend my evenings partaking of some quality "me time" rather than watching East Enders

cornsilkcremeeggspotter · 02/01/2010 23:50

may wear some make up for work (if I can be faffed)

SugarMagrundy · 02/01/2010 23:56

To throw out anything I haven't used in the last year. (Has anyone actually ever done this?)

cornsilkcremeeggspotter · 03/01/2010 11:33

I can't bring myself to chuck stuff very often.

HarrogateMum · 03/01/2010 14:08

To actually wear some of the lovely clothes in my wardrobe that I keep saving for "special occasions" instead of throwing on my jeans and t-shirt every day and then feeling like a dowdy frump...

And to work out how to wear make-up so it looks like I'm wearing it...I put it on every morning and people always comment that "you dont wear make-up do you?", can anyone teach me, do I need a trowel?

And last but not least to actually sort my nails out and possibly my eyebrows as well.....

CybilsDrivel · 03/01/2010 14:14

corny you dont; wear make up for work? Shocker!

auntycorny · 03/01/2010 16:58

No Cybil - I usually wear tinted moisturiser. I've just bought some Laura Mercier mineral powder so I'm going to wear that with some blusher and mascara I think. Maybe.

CybilsDrivel · 03/01/2010 17:00

I saw fab Laura Mercier make up kits in Bentalls tiday, 50% off. great colours. Pity I'm not in the market for some new stuff

auntycorny · 03/01/2010 17:05

What's Bentalls? I'm always in the market for new stuff. I'm very weak willed.

JaneiteIsTrite · 03/01/2010 17:08

To keep trying to wear all of my good clothes, rather than just looking at them.

To try and make my nails stronger.

To keep on trying to wear nice stuff for work, not just chucking on black trousers and a black top.

To wear heels at least once a week.

To try some straight leg jeans instead of bootcut.

MayorNaze · 03/01/2010 17:15

buy more clothes

seriously i have a real "thing" for clothes but always talk myself out of buying stuff and spend the money on vests for the dds or something equally trite

i actually BOUGHT clothes this year and felt so fab and had so many compliments (ok, most of them from from dh )that i am going to stop telling myself that i don't deserve groovy clothes and just fecking get em in .

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 03/01/2010 17:21

I have treated myself to a 10x magnifying hand mirror and lets just say that little baby is horribly unforgiving. Am going to check eyebrow/moustache areas every other day for stragglers. Took me a good 20 minutes to get it all under control the other day - and I had blissfully been going around thinking I was really rather smooth .

Am also going to admit defeat and buy 2 pairs size 16 jeans - and as soon as I do that I will magically lose the half stone I need to get back into my 14s I bet.

CybilsDrivel · 03/01/2010 18:02

Bentalls is our major dept store in Kingston. its trying to be like Selfridges

poinsettydawg · 03/01/2010 18:13

To buy a pair of grey shoes or boots.

traceybath · 03/01/2010 18:13

God if I used a magnifying mirror I'd never leave the house.
