Velcro curlers - wet, dry, damp hair?

I have some velcro curlers and am intending to put them in tonight, what state does my hair need to be in for optimum curling?

Hair is long, straight and thick usually.

I put mine into towel dried and leave them in overnight, much to DHs amusement!

My hair is very fine though - if yours is very thick it might not be dry by morn? Mine isn't always.

Good point, I could blast with hairdryer in the morning though?

Do you put a hat or anything over them? That'll make me feel about 80!

Might be too late if you wanted curls for today, but yes, sometimes I tie a scarf over the top and tuck it in at the front - 50's style - for added glamour!

Stops them getting all 'rubbed up' on the pillow.

For next time, try dry hair but spray hairspray on each piece of hair as you put roller in then get yourself ready and heat them up with dryer.
