I bought some black jeggings from the Warehouse sale. I wasn't intending to but my mum bought me these for christmas. They aren't something I would have picked but they are growing on me. Anyway they are very tight in the calf, too tight for proper jeans so I bought jeggings, only I don't have any long tops to wear with them. I traipsed around the sales for hours today, nothing that I liked or suited me.

I'm pair shaped, quite small up top with weird boney shoulders but need to cover my upper thighs. Help me! Do let the jeggings be for nought!

I wear mine with long tunic tops or dresses, but I am large of nork and big of belly .
Lovely boots btw!

Thanks teameric, can anyone give me some links - I can't even think where to look online. I need stuff warm enough for the rest of winter. I have tried, honest!

what's your budget?

magbags · 28/12/2009 22:17

Oasis had lots of different long tops - including a lovely cream and navy striped one with exposed zip at the back. Think it was about £60.

Pair shaped?

Like a siamese twin?

HohohoBumperlicious · 28/12/2009 22:24

Hmm, I was thinking around £30-40ish? I've got this in my Whitestuff basket, but can't decide if I like it. Feeling very uninspired and out of the fashion loop. The sales were pants!

I need something that I can wear everyday and maybe even to work (no dress code at work). Even just a long v neck jumper would do but I can't see anything nice, or worth it's money.

this is quite nice - A line for pears is good

HohohoBumperlicious · 28/12/2009 22:34

Yes, pair shaped, I'm not fat, there's just 2 of me!

Oh, and I am 28 btw, just saying as sometime I forget and dress a lot older.

Cider, that is really nice, but I 'um' over white stuff as it is so damn expensive for what it is. Something like that but cheaper. Why do I find it harder to spend money when I actually have some?!

Oh, and no batwing! It really doesn't suit me.

I too have just discovered jeggings and love them. I've just bought a couple of things from here which are really lovely and good quality.

The lambswool v-neck tunic is especially nice.

cruelladepoppins · 29/12/2009 14:11

Loads of really nice tunics on www.oli.co.uk - I can't seem to manage the links, tsk, but if you go to the site and search on "tunics" you should find them. I love the damask one and the butterfly one. Good luck!

  • forgot to say, for warmth in winter I team dresses and tunics with a long-sleeved "heat-tech" top from Uniqlo (loads of different colours available). The polo-necks especially make life very comfortable!

Also Uniqlo do knitted dresses too - last one I bought from there was merino and gorgeous - a bit short for tights and shoes but ideal for leggings and boots.
