Help me find a good but cheap blusher rush please.....

I hate blusher brushes. All little hairs come off on my face. So I bought a new one yesterday superdrug own brand which seems too hard and made me look patchy.

Any suggestions for a cheap but nice blusher brush?

The more expensive they are the better they are usually...I use No 7 brushes, but Ruby and Millie seem good, not cheap but will last.

QVC have lots of brushes. You can send stuff back to them within 30 days if you don't like it. I second no 7 and Ruby and Millie brushes as well.

Cybilshoeboots · 27/12/2009 23:24

I think I will give no 7 brush a try. Thanks for the replies. Also how long can you use your brushes for?

Well if you wash them regularly, forever

cornysxmasmuffmusic · 27/12/2009 23:25

cybil do a linky!

cornysxmasmuffmusic · 27/12/2009 23:26

OP I have a brush I've had for years - bought so long ago I can't remember where from, but still going strong!

Cybilshoeboots · 27/12/2009 23:27

cheap, they will do for skinnies not too high

namechanger555 · 27/12/2009 23:31

So what do you wash your brushes with? I washed mine with shampoo, but after the second wash it didn't seem right, like the powder did not take to the brush properly...

I use liquid soap, and rinsey rinse loads

cornysxmasmuffmusic · 27/12/2009 23:33

Cybil they're really nice - good find
OP I use shampoo or liquid soap. Did you rinse it properly?

namechanger555 · 27/12/2009 23:38

Probably not, as the first time I did it the same brush was fine once it had dried... That could be the problem...

give it another good wash then and see if it's okay. You may be able to pick up a brush from ebay as well.

Best place to find good value brushes - italian badger series are beautiful, they are all really good quality and make the brushes for a lot of the high end make up companies - they have lots of different ranges but you can get a good blusher brush for about £6 and as far as I can tell the quality is comparable to my bobbi brown and MAC brushes.

crown brushes

if you don't have a lot of brushes already then their sets are amazing value.

i ordered of them once and the brushes arrived quickly.

And I don't work for them either!

pointsmakeprizes · 28/12/2009 00:25

Also the best way I find to clean them is with the MAC brush cleaner - £8 for a big bottle, I saw a video on youtube where the lady decanted some into a smaller bottle with a spray top and she would just spray her brushes after she used them and then wiped them clean. Brushes dry almost instantly - definitely the easiest way to clean them.

I like that link!

Mine is from the Body Shop- cost about £8 some time ago.
Cheap brushes are useless- they are an investment and you shoud be prepared to pay at least £10.
