Fair trade clothes.... where to start?

My wardrobe wants revamping and I want to buy fairtrade can any one recommend a good website. All the ones I've looked at aimead at the early 20's. I'm mid 40's size 12.

IF you can't recommend a fairtrade website I'm open to suggestions. Have looked at Boden's sale but everything my size has gone....

Thanks

lol at fairtrade or boden

PinkFluffyslippers · 26/12/2009 21:35

Ha ha.... Yes I realise that Boden is not fairtrade but they do have nice fun clothes which are generally aimed at my age group.- if the playground mothers are anything to go by.....(not that I can afford anything of theirs full price!)

I like PeopleTree but I'm just toooo old to wear their stuff

"ascension www.ascensiononline.com/?gclid=CLbV4LCO9Z4CFR9o4wodF1rtIQ" ?

puddleofpiddle · 26/12/2009 22:09

that worked... have you tried ascension?

LastOfTheMulledWine · 26/12/2009 22:11

Nomads

PinkFluffyslippers - I'm also in my 40's and a size 14 and I buy stuff from Peopletree - generally basic cotton jersey tops, although I also have a wrap dress, shortish black skirt and some work trousers.

Recently I've bought two tunics from Ascensiononline, and one from Nomads - all mid-thigh, so I tend to wear them with leggings and boots, but have also worn them with jeans, black work trousers, and with opaque tights/heels.

Hi P of P (what a name!) I actually posted this twice by mistake and someone has recommended ascension in reply to my original post.
Thanks for your suggestion I've looked at the A website and it's nice stuff....
have you bought from them - is the quality / fit ok? I bought a great coat from bishopstone trading (fairtrade) and the quality is SO good I reckon it'll see me out!!

Nomads are lovely. A second for those.

Apple Pudd- thanks for PeopleTree suggestion _ I'll revisit them - I need a black work skirt.

Have just looked at Nomads site - thanks Mulled Wine for suggesting it - definitely fun stuff.

Night night all

You could also try TRAID... www.traid.org.uk/#images/tenth/intro.jpg

This site www.naturalcollection.com/?

I've bought bits and bobs before but not clothes I have to admit.

I've only had frugi kids clothes via ascension, service was good, arrived quickly etc. I also quite like Howies, although I think they've been bought out by Timberland IIRC? Quality is excellent but the jeans come up a bit big!
My name was inspired by potty training ds2 and PMSL
