which colour eyeliner for blue eyes?

I have pale blue/pale grey eyes and am just about to buy new liquid eyeliner. Was thinking bobbi brown - friend has advised this is easy to apply for a non-expert like me. Plus I will be applying on a train, on the way to my husbands surprise party.

What colour? My hair is blonde highlighted but with some pale browny lowlights too. I think black may be too harsh.

Dress is midnight blue, tights grey (I think?) shoes are black. I will end up layering the dress I think, over a long sleeved T so I am not going for a major over the top groomed look if you know what I mean; still like to look not too 'done'.

Any help appreciated!

YSL used to do a divine midnight blue liquid liner, it was gorgeous, not sure they do it anymore. I have blue eyes and dark hair so I mostly use a black liquid liner.
What about a glittery pewter one? That could look good with your colouring.

Bobbi Brown do a lovely bronze gel one - I use that and have blue/grey eyes.

I have blue eyes and dont suit black eye liner.

I tend to wear green most days and then occasionally blue or brown for a different look.

I use liquid eye liner and it is very easy to use - not the Bobbi Brown one but Make Up at tesco - goes on very well and lasts!

I have blonde hair and blue eyes and black eyeliner looks freaky on me. I use a navy or dark green liquid on a night out for a very "made up" look and a charcoal grey pencil in the day.

I don't think black eyeliner looks great on blue eyes. I've got blue eyes and I can sometimes get away with black kohl/smudged pencil but not harsh black liquid liner.
I use Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners (they come in a little pot and you apply them with a separate brush...much easier than it sounds). I'm wearing a dark sparkly grey today (think it's called Graphite). I also think browns and dark plum colours are good with blue eyes. I've got a Bobbi Brown one that's called something like Black Plum but it really comes out like quite a soft brown colour.
Why not get an assistant to help you try a few on and see for yourself which colours look best.
Don't worry about matching eyeliner to dress colour. Make up shouldn't match clothes IMO.

I use a grey. its lovely, and much more flattering for lining inner lids than black

I really like the idea of the plum/grey/browns and yes rambling - I already have intended to buy the bobbi brown pot - already have the bobbi brown brush from a friend who had 2 and gave me one.
