If you use this method do you still use a moisturiser and toner?

I've been doing OCM since March, skin is great, no spots, no lines, nada (am 37 tomorrow)

No toner (cold water dies the job of toner anyway) but I moisturise x3 a week ( night) with meals yard wild rose beauty balm.

Occasionally exfoliate and mask but tbh the face cloth does the job of an exfoliant anyway.. But ocm can buiod up a 'barrier' so good to slough it away occasionally. Mask just for a treat, not sure it does anything.

Have had maybe 2 facials since march and the thersousts have commented on how good my skin is... Given that they are usually tying to flog you stuff, I reckon that's pretty good

LetThemEatCake, which oil do you use? Can you buy oil specifically or almond, olive oil etc?

LetThemEatCake · 21/12/2009 13:07

I use a blend of castor and almond oils, jury bought ten from the health food shop and mixed in an empty bottle. A few drops of lavender to make it smell scrummy.

Had to fiddle around with the quantities to get them right; castor oil is quite drying so depending on your skin type you may need to go easy on it.

By the way I do a similar thing instead of baby wipes: cold camomile tea, few drops of oil, few drops of lavender. All 3 of my dcs have gorgeous bottoms!!

I use castor and olive oil, I still moisturise but that's because it's the self tanning cream, I like to be orange.

SerenityNowAKABleh · 21/12/2009 14:19

Does anyone sell the castor oil online (lazy)? I've looked on the boots and Holland and Barrett websites, and ... nada.

I bought some from this ebay shop - quick delivery, perfectly happy. Think she also has a website.

I use a tiny amount of castor oil and sunflower oil (could do with putting something nice smelling in it but i'd be worried about irritating my skin).

If my skin is dry i put some sunflower iol on overnight and it balances out beautifully by morning time. Bought my castor oil from sainsbury's btw.
