I'll be naked and asleep. I hate NYE

Katymac · 19/12/2009 21:57

A bikini tankini or a sundress??

AngelinaJolly · 19/12/2009 23:04

Supersal- good luck w costume- we will want photos!

I'll be chez moi- We have invited lots of friends who also have little ones. We'll be kicking off early- party food for toddlers and grown ups and lots of mulled wine. The DHs will be sent outside to let off fireworks to amuse the ladies and kids who will be watching safely through the massive sliding windows. Kiddies in bed by a reasonable time and then...???

CantThinkofFunnyName · 20/12/2009 09:26

Going to Edinburgh, to stay with friends, {excited}. I will be wearing an lbd I got in Topshop, lace 3/4 sleeves and maybe my very sparkly silvery black tights.... shoes optional.

I want a cool necklace to wear too.

AngryPixie · 21/12/2009 07:44

I will be playing poker in a dress my friends 'affectionately' call poker slut!

Tortington · 21/12/2009 16:56

ChrisMissWooWoo · 21/12/2009 18:07

Scillybee · 21/12/2009 18:37

fab restaurant with dh, mil & her man... we know how to have fun ...new little red dress which I feel v scrummy in, heels I think, but I have nothing to wear on top for warmth so need to address this asap! bubbly is obligatory, surely? actually my mil is totally lovely & fab, bil is the chef so it will be good. last year we stayed in playing monopoly with the nephews! I love nye now I don't feel I must do fancy dress, get plastered & end up covered in spilt alcohol & other peoples sloppy saliva, yuk
yep, I'm getting old & I love it

muminthemiddle · 21/12/2009 19:23

I have bought a new satin blouse in a deep purple/maroon to wear with my high waisted navy trousers on Christmas Eve as we are having a party.
New years eve is an Abba fancy dress and I still don't have an outfit!!

SmallShips · 21/12/2009 19:31

supposed to be going to the local community centre party, but have decided I'd rather chew off my own arm... therefore I shall be in pyjamas.

Cheappinkfizz · 21/12/2009 21:46

have big black tie do, I'm really looking forward to it .. so far have bought 2 dresses

  1. tesco, black, high neck, drapey, very forgiving
  2. this but having tried it on when I go home I'm not so sure, even less sure now I've seen joanna fucking lumley wearing it!

thinking of getting a red one in case I feel brave on the night
I also like this to wear with black tights and red patent tbar shoes

what do you think?

Cheappinkfizz · 21/12/2009 22:53

oh no do you hate them all?

monkeysmama · 22/12/2009 07:38

What shape are you pinkfizz? I like the M&S oneand the red one. Don't like the JL one at all.

SnowballProofMum · 22/12/2009 14:28

Over to some frinds. Last year DH and I dressed as chavs. Now 30 wks pg I guess it has to be a pg chav...

FlorenceandtheMincePieMachine · 22/12/2009 16:09

Pinkfizz, all of those dresses look a bit shapeless. Do they suit you or are you just trying to hide your body? If so, can we persuade you into something with a bit more oomph?

Pinkfizz, I like the M&S and the Kaliko if you have big sparkly jewellry. Red looks too shapeless to me and if even slightly tight will show any bumps you don't want to show (as you say "very forgiving")

I will probably be asleep by 10, if the last few years are anything to go by. DH will wake me up at midnight but I may not remember

tispity · 23/12/2009 20:16

i'll be getting my Louboutins on too and my new Issa dress. Our friends are coming over for a teetotal dinner with the kids (early evening). then i will go to bed early (booooring) and they will leave the kids for a sleepover with the dcs and go off clubbing (and the rest!) in C London.

OrmIrian · 23/12/2009 20:18

Can't be bothered with NYE. Non-event afaic. So with any luck I will be wearing a dressing gown and then pyjamas asap

Fleecy · 27/12/2009 12:38

I will either be wearing a purple bandage dress or a red high waisted tulip mini with a black tank tucked in, black patent waist belt and black tights.

I haven't been out on NYE since having DC so DH and I are really looking forward to it - yay!
