Since having my son 3 months ago, I am looking seriously dried out.

I was really dehydrated at first due to feeling like crap and not looking after myself. (I am bf too so should really be better at drinking more).

My skin really seems to be suffering so I'd like to treat it a bit better.

I wear make up approximately twice a year, so it doesn't really feature in my routine, which pretty much consists of wash face then try to remember to moisturise.

I just use Simple products as they seem to suit my slightly sensitive, dry skin. Although I do have some nice Dermalogica exfoliating powder from when I briefly took care of my skin before my wedding.

Please help me care for my poor neglected face.

Renew facial oil by Aromatherapy Associates is gorgeous. I have dry skin on my face but also get a little spotty at times (pms ). This has really sorted my skin out and a little goes a long way.

Don't worry about being left with any oily residue. It is all veg/plant based oils so they sink straight into the skin.

How much have you got to spend?

If you can pamper, treat yourself to Ren renskincare.com rose facial oil.
Or Dr Haushka rose skin cream.

Or, failing those, Clinique Moisture Surge which can be usd as a mask or moisturiser and all fragrance free.

Clarins i always love and they should give you samples to try.

I also love L'Occitane which do a lovely day/nigh moisturiser (so not as expensive as forking out for clarins seperates for night and day!)

If you can only afford one product then i would say go for a good night cream ..... Most of the good creams (err expensive) do last long as their formula's are quite thick and you need very little. They will often give you samlpels that will last a week while you try it out ...

I have sensitive skin and can highly recommend Neutrogena Day Cream with active soy spf 15. Only costs about £7 or £8 from Superdrug. When your skin is very dry just use a little more. I have been buying moisturiser for more than 30 years now and have tried all sorts but this one is consistently my best performer.

Thanks, I will have a look at these.

Not got a great deal to spend, going down to half pay for a couple of months now, then relying on just my wage when I go back to work - H will be at home with the boy. So I don't feel like being too frivolous.

thanks

if you know that Simple works for you, why not try this? Bargain at a fiver

This from Superdrug

is well lush (as Stacey would say!). I have dry skin too and it's really moisturising and smells feels lovely and is bargainous too!
