... where would you go? Combined Christmas/birthday present from husband... not too expensive... He said no to a Mulberry (I was joking).

Tried Oasis, Warehouse, Joules websites - having real trouble finding a bag I like. Brown leather ideally. Help! I have until tonight to give him some ideas!

Depends on the budget. Dune have some really nice leather bags (under £100), including brown ones
Hobbs have a sale on at the minute and I noticed they had some nice leather ones reduced (£130ish)
Ted Baker have lovely bags as do Karen Millen, but these are more expensive than the above

do you have a good coat and bag already? i mean, do we need to go for classic here or soemthing more frivolous?

will watch this page with interest as i have being offered a coat (classic, long lasting ....) and have no idea where to start!

Was browsing in Hobbs today and this looked very tempting!

pagwatch - which LK Bennett store did you go to? Was it a seperate store or in john lewis or a department store? That coat sounds lovely!

Found red duffle coat in Joules - sold out in most places, my local shop only had a size 18. Also liked their aubergine coloured bag... again, sold out. Not having much luck.

Will try LK Bennett... had a quick look on Red Direct the other night, will try again... time running out!
