My dad's Christmas list consists of the following:
A bottle of Hine Brandy/cognac "H" - Waitrose

DVD of Point Blank

TOTALLY BLACK sox - size 8 to 9

My brother has bagsied the DVD, and I already have one small present for my dad, so I thought I might get him some socks.

But if you're getting socks for Christmas, I think they need to be stupendously good ones.

Can anyone recommend a fabulous sock emporium? Preferably with online ordering? Merci

Try John Lewis online- they might have cashmere or designer makes.

Debenhams have quite nice ones by John Rocha and Jasper Conran.

Not online but TK Maxx do nice boxed sets of Pringles at this time of year.

are they for wearing under suits to work or for leisure? does he want style or comfort?

the most comfortable socks are those designed for walking, like these

or pure collection here

(cashmere socks aren't very hard-wearing but v nice)

if you ask on a new thread there's often a discount code around for purecollection...
