I am going to a reunion of a club I used to go to all the time on sat. I just found my latex ballgown in my wardrobe, tried it on, it still fits and it actually looks amazing.
Can I really go out in latex as a 30 something mother of 2.
By the way the dress costr me abouyt 300 quid and I havent worn it for years (just saying that so you know it isn't some dodgy anne summers job)

I cannot imagine what a latex dress looks like...

Is it very tight-fitting and sado-masochistic-like ?

I don't like the idea of it,tbh

YOu will stick out like a sore thumb (unless this is a fetish club you are going to....?)

MrsBadger · 14/12/2009 19:11

I think if it looks good and is appropriate to the event then you should do it

do check that it isn;t just reminding you of how you used to look in it...

tethersjinglebellend · 14/12/2009 20:39

I thought it was the preserve of the over 40s

ThingumyandBob · 14/12/2009 21:50

If it?s a club reunion then you should be able to wear it?? if after 2 kids (and possibly nearly a decade? later) it still looks amazing you almost have a duty to wear it!!!

thisisyesterday · 14/12/2009 22:02

it's really very hard to say without seeing a picture you know

pervert

ruby, you see my dilemma not sure work or my colleagues would appreciate (by the way I work in a bank)
Dh confirmed that it looked great. It is completly appropriate for the club, in fact last time they had one I wore something sensible (well by my standards) and stuck out like a sore thumb.
I actually weigh less than I did when I got it and it holds wobbly mummy tum in very well.

God yes, wear it - i would

LouLouH · 15/12/2009 11:09

Why are you even questioning whether to wear it??

Go for it girl! It sounds like a perfect fit and you most likely look sexy in it. Enjoy the party and then enjoy DH's reaction when you come home!

Just remember any stupid comments from other women at the work party will only be out of jealousy, if you've got it flaunt it.Especially after 2 kids!

domesticslattern · 15/12/2009 20:21

Go girl
But check it carefully as latex perishes over time- take another dress with you and stash it in the cloakroom in case of mishap!
