Are they worth it- or are they a rip-off?

I usually spend about £100 on a bag (like Ri2K) and get a couple of years out of it- I find the leather goes a bit mucky if tan/brown.

Can't justify spending c £400 unless there is something really super special about the bag and not just the name.

anyone?

I had the same reservations. I'm not sure that any bag is worth that much but I do think that mulberry bags have that 'iconic' value. And the quality of my Bayswater is undeniably better than cheaper bags i've had. I bought it second hand for £200 partly due to being sceptical about its worth and partly because i like leather to look a bit worn. If you fancy taking the same route, there's a good eBay seller called mulberrymad.

that's helpful, thanks.
I just can't see how much better a £400 bag is than a good quality £100- £150 bag. I amnot a label snob- just like a nice bag.
I also find some Mulberry bags very heavy even without anything in- not good for the old back!

I agree about Mulberrymad, she is a fantastic seller. Some Mulberry bags look better battered up. I got an oak bayswater for my 40th and it is beaten and has a lovely patina after a years use.

They are heavy though, but gorgeous. After having a Mulberry, you will find it hard to find another brand that measures up to the leather quality.
