Tear it with my teeth.. does that count as a label slattern?

norfolkBRONZEturkey · 09/12/2009 19:28

do you mean price labels or washing instructions?

norfolkBRONZEturkey · 09/12/2009 19:29

doh just saw the placcy thing bit (not like it was a long post)

depends if I can find scissors/nail clippers easily if not bite through

thisisyesterday · 09/12/2009 19:31

i pull them off usually, qwhich risks making holes in the clothes

this is why i hate monsoon clothes cos you HAVE to cut them off

as a dry cleaner i IMPLORE you to cut them off. If you leave them in your clothes and have them dry cleaned they react with the solvent and melt all over your clothes and it is not legally my responsibility to pay you for your clothes but I have to pay for other items damaged by them. I hate them (can you tell?)

ImSoNotTelling · 09/12/2009 19:51

I cut. With my little nail scissors.

ImSoNotTelling · 09/12/2009 19:53

DH bites them with his teeth. I hate that.

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 09/12/2009 19:54

Slatterns.

bishboschone · 09/12/2009 19:55

that is the plastic ones on string that momsoon etc have

ImSoNotTelling · 09/12/2009 19:58

I hate it when they have done the plastic bibble gun thing so that the other end of the plastic doofer is INSIDE the item. Like in the hem or a seam or between coat and lining or inside a toy.

No way you can get the bastard out then. I just cut it off as near to the top as possible but that's not going to help in bishboscone's work now is it. Plus I hate that I can't get rid of the whole thing, which may be a bit irrational but there you go. The idea there is a bit of plastic lodged inside somewhere makes me really uncomfortable.

GeneHuntsMistress · 09/12/2009 20:07

ImSoNotTelling - my god i am so with you on this, it really irrationally irritates the hell out of me.

glad to know i'm not the only mentalist out there

TinselianAstra · 10/12/2009 14:14

Give it a sharp yank and it snaps.
