Short hair - only for skinnies?

I really want short hair, Ive had it all cut off into a jagged bob sorta thing, but want to go shorter,

am size 16.

like this short, maybe shorter

Well, having viewed your pic i say 'yes', the style will suit you. You have big eyes and a your chin is small and a nice shape. The style will work best on features like yours - I would describe you as 'elfin' looking - that is a compliment, you are very pretty

I think I'l go for it when I get back to the weight I was on those pics then,

it can be my treat for loosing it.

Good idea! Always good to have an extra kick to spur you on when losing weight. I waited till I had reached target (after having my last dd) to cut my hair and it was nice having it to look forward to.

I think yes generally, you need to be skinny or uber gorge to have short hair, but I didn't see your pic.
(another long haired gal here - haven't had short hair since age 14...wouldn't dare!)

I had short hair for a long time an whilst neither being skinny NOR gorge (unless giving off pheramones) I did like it.

But I have much longer hair now and I feel it suits me more as I career towards 40. Makes me feel more girly

Dis I have very short hair and I'm a size 14/16 (more a 16 at the mo) with a very round face I have "hamster cheeks" according to DH have posted some pics on my profile. I love it, everyone says it has taken weight off my face

Well I have just had my haircut really short (pic on profile), and discovered I am pregnant - so no getting away with it, I am going to be fat with short hair!

I have short hair (think michelle williams crop) and am slim, but I agree that I think it is more about face shape than size. When my hair is long it's straggly so short looks much, much better. I do think you need to make more of an effort to look feminine though. I didn't use to wear eye makeup in the day but do now that I have 'boy's hair' as my DH says , it makes me feel more girly.
