Riiiight, well, it depends what look you're trying to achieve... I use them if I want "big" hair. I think mine are Remington. They're not much use for actual curls.

What look were you hoping to achieve?

This is the kind of thing (toned down):

Oh ta!

Its a would-be Christmas gift for my almost 9yr old who fancies bouncy curls on special occasions. Her friend has a remmington set, they are rubbery and you just heat them, roll up the hair and they kind of bend into themselves to secure. I can't see them anywhere, i can only find Babyliss or Boots ones which seem to be more traditional rollers with a pin to secure.....not sure if this will give her the bouncy curls she's after.

I'm a complete novice at all this

Ah, that's because your DD's friend doesn't have heated rollers, she'll have something like "Flexi Curls". I can't find a new listing for them online anywhere but will see if I can find anything similar.

Can't find anything that's not on ebay but will have a more thorough look tomorrow.

Thank you! I've bought a Babyliss Curl Press from Boots for £20........the reviews on Boots website were good........
