Broken zip on fairly new boots

My DD (3) has a pair of Ecco boots that she has only been wearing for a few weeks. The zip has broken on one of them, so she can't wear them now. They were £60 and so I am not very impressed. Do you think I should try taking them back to the shop or will they just laugh at me?

oh no, take them back. 3 weeks is not normal wear and tear ... even for a 3 year old.

Ecco are reputable brand no? they will exchange am sure
