he's a trad kind of guy, I'm not (neither guy nor trad). needs to be something practical. he is tall but not in any way flash as a personality. he worries terribly about wearing anything too fashionable, but equally can wear anything as he is tall and slim.

i've looked on the barbour site, but the pockets are a bit naff.

help me obiwan you're my only hope

Asos have lots. This time last year I bought a lovely one for DS1 from ASOS - can't see the same one now.

My husband recently bought a beautiful leather jacket by Paul Smith in Harvey Nichols. The leather is sumptuously soft and it is very well cut. You would definitely not think 'chavvy or fusty' if you saw it. The only downside was the cost.
