My mum once bought a cardigan that was maternity.

She was despairing of finding anything to fit her and really pleased with it.

I didn't have the heart to point out that we had wandered into the "femmes enceintes" section!

The label inside said "mama" or some such but she didn't notice.

They have loads like that (non preggy) in Zara at the moment

Kammy · 30/11/2009 16:18

I'm wearing a nice knitted dress from the maternity section of H&M. Hve not been preg for 8 years and am quite a svelte size 10.

i once bought a 3 pack of long t-shirts from new look and didnt realise until i got home that they were maternity i still wear them now as they are super comfy and they dont ride up like average ones do they will come in handy when i have another baby and they certainly do now

I bought a great black maternity dress from Topshop a few months ago. I liked the fact that it had a full, swishy skirt and couldnt find a non-maternity dress like it.

The drapey bits are only going to expand over the band. It doesn't look maternity at all.

I remember when I was about 18, people used to wear maternity dungarees as a fashion statement.

I saw a gorgeous forties-style dress in Dot Perkins the other week. Wondered why it was at the back of the shop instead of at the front with the other party dresses...

It was this. Is it very wrong to want to go back and buy it?
