I have so far...

fake tanned cleavage and legs from thigh to feet

Dyed eyebrows in week

Am about to shave legs and pits (rudimentary I know, but we don't want to scare the other party goers)

I MIGHT buy a push up bra later. Need to scrub over zealous fake tan off rough bits

And my mates given me a black root touch up

Surely depends how much flesh is on show- quite a bit from what you say!

I'd exfoliate entire body and use body lotion maybe with a hint of glimmer. Use face pack or moisure-boosting treatment.

Great nails and feet are a must.

TrillianAstra · 28/11/2009 12:04

Oooh, have fun.

I have a party next week and I'm going to see if I can build up some fakeish tan with the Johnson'd holidy skin stuff - I'm too scared to use real fake tan

VerityBrulee · 28/11/2009 12:11

What are you wearing?

TrillianAstra · 28/11/2009 12:13

Nails. Toenails. How open are your shoes? Scrub feet.

BaronessBarbaraKingstanding · 28/11/2009 12:14

Shower early so you can use shimmery body lotion, needs time to sink in.

Dry hiar and put in big rollers which will give body and bounce but not curls, helps any style look more 'done', whetehr up or down, and easier to syle.

Dust bronzer over collar bones to enhance fake tan.

CybilLiberty · 28/11/2009 12:55

I am having my first EVER professional blow dry (not including when I get it cut) later so will be bouncing my bouffant.

But its blowing a bloody gale here. I may invest in one of those old lady net head scarfs

Verity I am wearing a grey dress with silver beading over it silver shoes and silver clutch.

Finger nails are dodgy but the nature of my job means long talons are a no no. But I will do the best I can.

have ped egged. Don;t want to talk to family. Just ewant to think of other beautifications i can do

Have fun!

I enjoy pulling out the stops-sometimes the "preps" more fun than the actual night! (kidding). I will usually get a professional mani/pedi (only if wearing open toed sandals)and a blow dry as late as I am able on the same day. I will do my own full body exfoliation and self tan (light) the night before.

If I am meeting up with friends I may not have seen in a while or going out somewhere nice with H, I will schedule in things that I have done anyway in the run up such as eyebrow threading, hair colouring (I do my own)and maybe a scale and polish.

I will usually buy one or two items of new make up, false lashes (if I can be arsed)-really it all depends on how much time or notice I have

CybilLiberty · 28/11/2009 15:00

scale and polish! Wow you really do do the whole works

spend 10 minutes in agony getting contact lenses in then 2h waiting for redness to subside afterwards

CLOVER81 · 28/11/2009 16:48

im sat ready to go to a ball waiting on hubby lol

nearlybeans · 28/11/2009 16:51

Decide exactly what and how much make-up you want to wear. It's the thing most people get wrong, either by making no concession at all to the event as they've left it too late with all the other faff, or just wearing the same "done-up" face as usual, which is often too harsh.

traceybath · 28/11/2009 17:08

oo what shoes did you get in te end? Have fun

VerityBrulee · 28/11/2009 17:13

hohoholepew · 28/11/2009 17:35

OK Ball update. It was nearly a disaster. I asked my hairdresser to cut a 'smidge' off my fringe . He did this

ok praps not quite THAT bad but thats what it felt like to me

Dd (my style panel) says its too short. I want to be Lily not Emo

CybilLiberty · 29/11/2009 11:47

Oh and a TRILLIAN sequinned dresses/blazers/ skirts. and lots of enormous boobs stuffed into too small dresses

OP posts:
hohoholepew · 29/11/2009 13:31

Hahahahaha at fringe. I've just did that to myself I have to keep my eyebrows raised like this -> so it narrows the gap.

brimfull · 29/11/2009 20:15

yes I think sequin will be rather over done this yr
