You know that stuff you put high on your cheekbones to highlight and give you a dewy glow? Where can I get some that isn't stupidly expensive?

What are the cheaper options?

would this be within budget? She's a make up artist who knows her stuff...

southeastastra · 25/11/2009 21:57

high beam? you could probably get a mini version on ebay

HeadFairy · 25/11/2009 21:59

definitely Benefit High Beams

Hmmm...two products describing themselves as 'cult products'? I'd go for high beam, not sure of a cheap version. I used to have a glowy stick thing from Body Shop which was lovely. Can't search now as DD is coughing like mad, going to check on her.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 25/11/2009 22:06

i'm liking the look of the high beam one if i can get a mini version like you say.
Would be happy with paying under £10.

Is it easy to apply?

Back again, they don't seem to do it any more but what about this?

OllieWollieWoo · 25/11/2009 22:18

Know this isn't really for the face, but this M&S stuff by Tess Daly is supposed to be great:
here

nevergoogledragonbutter · 25/11/2009 22:19

Boots No7 do a good High Beam rip-off (not sure what everyone else has linked to!).

Revlon Skinlights is good, big tube, lasts ages, about £10

notamumyetbutoneday · 26/11/2009 08:25

Avon's coour trend 'peekaboo' lip and cheek tint. Cheap as chips and does exactly what you asked for, a dewy glow with hint of colour.

MadameOvary · 26/11/2009 13:32

Clinique Uplighting is fab, you only need a tiny dot and you get masses (30ml). If you CAT me your address I'll send you some in a wee pot if you like.

jbg · 26/11/2009 13:52

How about Moon Beam by Benefit. I find it much easier to use and more 'natural' looking than High Beam.

marthastewart · 26/11/2009 15:46

Just reading on another site about how good
Boots no 7 illuminating lotion is as a replacement for High Beam

They also mention vaseline rosy lips as replacement for BeneTint.

I love the smashbox lip tint myself though

BUMPITlicious · 27/11/2009 11:33

Ooh, I sometimes use the rosy vaseline on my cheeks, I thought I was just been weird though

marthastewart · 27/11/2009 12:24

If it works for you then it's all good!

fillybuster · 27/11/2009 14:32

has anyone mentioned the maybelline cream pots yet? really fab - they do little pots of blusher and little pots of shiny stuff for highlighting. Really nice light texture, not too much shine and fairly cheap.

steamedtreaclesponge · 27/11/2009 14:40

Another vote for Barbara Daly at Tesco here - I love her highlighter and wear it every day. Bought it a couple of years ago too, it lasts forever! And is only £5 or so as I recall.
