Bravissimo clothes - any good?

DS2 is being christening in a couple of weeks and I have left it until this late in the day to decide what to wear because I am still shrinking post pregnancy (despite the fact that he is nearly a year old).

I am short and very slight, except for my norks which are absolutely enormous. So I was wondering whether a Bravissimo outfit might do the job, but having never seen their clothes in the flesh before, I have no idea whether they are ok.

So if you have got any/seen any, can you let me know your opinion? Or if you are similarly bizarrely shaped, where would you recommend shopping?

I'm wearing a bravissimo jersey dress now (I'm at work and I have a drinks function to attend this evening). It fits well, drapes well etc and actually accentuates my boobs in a nice covered up non-tarty way.

Is there one near you that you can get to try stuff on?

CMOTdibbler · 25/11/2009 14:33

I have two norktastic friends who swear by their clothes - both have quite a collection, so I've seen most of the range irl.

I'm also wearing one of their dresses today. They're nicely cut and good quality. Would really recommend for big boobs!

TheProvincialLady · 25/11/2009 14:41

No, there's not one near me so I would have to order online. It's good to know that the quality is, erm, good.

What do we think of this?

TBH the colours on most of the clothes are not great for me. I am very pale with artificially blonde hair. Purple is hideous on me and whilst black suits me, I don't think it is a great look for a christening.

What about that gorgeous velvet dress that Jackieno linked to on another thread?

Please buy it. I want it and can't justify it....

TheProvincialLady · 25/11/2009 14:51

Hmmmm, probably not actually. But the only dress with sleeves is purple and I did purple a lot aged 16 and I don't want to go there again

this is the one I really want but it is virtually sold out.

Is there anywhere else that sells speciality clothes like this?

Oh gosh that Monsoon dress is beautiful. Monsoon clothes are normally far too big for me but I do have one dress so maybe there is hope. I can pop into town on Saturday and give it a try. Still no sleeves though so it might not be warm enough. The sleeve shape would make it awkward to wear anything over.

I am a similar shape and always wind up getting occasion wear from monsoon

there is a bravissimo near me, and I never like the material

OK - total impule buy alert - my MIL looked after my two boys for half an hour whilst I nipped out and bought this with a matching grey underslip. It suits me perfectly and fits a treat, and is flattering to figure and norks AND I can BF in it. And what's more, I have the perfect shoes already so I can buy a new bag and maybe a shrug and I am sorted
