Which one would you choose?

OP posts:
Feierabend · 25/11/2009 11:55

Clinique.

nickelbabe · 25/11/2009 11:58

I'm going to be the only one who doesn't choose bobbi brown then!

I'd choose Avon, because they're cheap and don't test on animals.
which is my main criterion.

i also don't like to risk it when i shop for cosmetics because I get sore eyes with a lot of brands.

nickelbabe · 25/11/2009 11:59

(not testing on animals is my main criterion: it wasn't a grammatical error, more of a punctuation one.... sorry...)

EdgarAllenPoo · 25/11/2009 18:33

ooh i would have said Boujois not that long ago.. though i really loved Dior's lipsticks for going-out drama.

i like Ruby & Millie too...

oh, maybe i have to admit to being a 'whichever range is cheapest' girl..

actually, still Bourjois. their eye make up is great, and fun, and my main facial feature to apply slap to is my eyes, so there you go.

CybilLiberty · 25/11/2009 18:39

I ahve never bought or worn Bobbi brown in my life

i TINK the majority of my make up bag is no 7...and its a bit hit and miss.

CybilLiberty · 25/11/2009 18:39

I nevr buy expensive make up

pointydogg · 25/11/2009 18:41

I have no idea. I don't buy that much in teh way of cosmetics.

Surely it's all the same sort of standard stuff anyway.

purplepeony · 25/11/2009 18:41

I like some BB but think it's over priced by a long way.

pointydogg · 25/11/2009 18:44

All the expensive stuff must be overpriced by a long way.

Make-up is make-up, creams is creams.

CybilLiberty · 25/11/2009 18:46

actually I think there are differences in the finishes of make up depending on price sometimes, but I can't be arsed to spend £13 on an eyeshadow which will end up crumbled at the bottom of my make up bag

EdgarAllenPoo · 25/11/2009 19:16

i'd never heard of bobbi brown before...

AmazingBouncingFerret · 25/11/2009 19:20

Hmmm probably Boots No7.
I live in a small town so not much of a selection plus its nice and cheap but you still get good results.

DanDruff · 25/11/2009 19:21

mac

poppy34 · 25/11/2009 20:27

Laura mercier or stila

traceybath · 25/11/2009 20:31

Dior - the best mascara and lip glosses.

BelleDameSansMerci · 25/11/2009 20:35

YSL or Dior but I'm going to be trying Bobbi Brown now.

madmissy · 27/11/2009 08:38

i have just started using a no7 mascara- funny looking brush, lengthening effect and i am very impressed actually for a natural day look...

my new loreal one is great for more drama its the two way one thats a good buy imo

mac like someone said do great products but the mascaras are a let down tbh

ooh also just started to use no7 stay put lipstick one end is colour you let it dry and then you apply a gloss end for moisture and shine..... loving that!

benefit tinted moisturizer has been great so far too! and the boiing concealer is fab

chattermouse · 27/11/2009 10:28

I would have to go Max Factor due to my love and addiction of Calorie 2000 mascara and lipfinity range.

clankypanky · 27/11/2009 12:58

Bourjois...I love all their eyeshadows in those lovely little round pots!

GetOrfMoiLand · 27/11/2009 13:04

By Terry - their foundations and conclears are amazing, have a few eyeshadows and pencils etc and also very good. Bloody costly though.

Second place: Lancome

Third place: Estee Lauder.

Bucharest · 27/11/2009 13:09

I think Bobbi Brown is a really rubbish name for a make up company. It's always put me off as it just reminds me of a tacky sold-in-Woolies sort of brand.

Mine is a mishmosh of whatever is on offer except foundation (always buy posh) am currently evangelising over Clarins Instant Smooth and think I've finally found The One.

GetOrfMoiLand · 27/11/2009 13:11

Firmly believe that you get what you pay for with foundations - I would (and do) use cheap as chips eyeshadows and mascara, but the quality and texture of more expensive foundations is far better than their cheaper counterparts, no question.

teameric · 27/11/2009 13:15

Either Bourjois or Clinique
