It's not going to come out.... sorry! Get some leather dye and dye them dark brown - it's probably the only answer. Dark brown is the new tan!

I've only worn them twice! and first time I've found boots to fit my calf

Do you think a cobblers or even a dry cleaners could do anything??

Oh no! You could try nail polish remover. Is it very noticeable?

drinkmoretea · 22/11/2009 22:31

God, if I had their number I would!!

Well, I know nail varnish remover (acetone) and sanisiting hand gel removes hair dye from skin.

Ppl on here got dye on a leather sofa.

VerityBrulee · 22/11/2009 22:36

Leather is so pourous and hair dye is so heavily pigmented that it's not going to come out - sorry.

Is it very noticeable?

Heated · 22/11/2009 22:37

Can you have the boots dyed?

VerityBrulee · 22/11/2009 22:39

Just read heated's link, quick get the nail varnish remover!

Poohbearsmom · 22/11/2009 22:46

Lemon juice can also get it off skin... Maybe try that before the nail polish remover?? Poor you

Mimi1977 · 23/11/2009 11:14

Hairspray is meant to get dye out - my hairdresser does it on her clothes but not sure how it would be on leather. It's the alcohol in it apparently.

marthastewart · 23/11/2009 13:38

So sorry to hear that, you know at the hairdressers they always use a solution on my skin to remove any specks of dye, perhaps you could contact a salon? I imagine if it is suitable for skin, it should be ok for leather/suede.

If not, would suggest a dye job....

drinkmoretea · 23/11/2009 20:59

ok, update

Nail polish remover took some colour out of the boot but left the stain

Lemon juice didn't work

Will look for some hairspray but fear it's now too late

Was about to polish boots with wax too, but thought I'd do my hair first!

Just want to cry.......
