What/where would/do you shop for your chunky DD ?

She certainly isn't fat well within the healthy range but she's a funny shape compared with her sisters so handing down clothes is virtually impossible.
She hates anything that sits on her waist (because she doesn't really have one), quite a square shaped body.

She looks best in tunic type dress and leggin outfits but I cannot seem to find any that are to be worn during the day and are warm.

Any tips gratefully received.

how old is she?

we get lots of sweater dresses and tunics for my deliciously chubby DD from Sainsbury and Tesco, also H&M. All seem very generously cut compared with other high street stuff.

Ooops sorry she is 7, but not much 7-8 fits.

Will check out H&M thank you

Boden also size large, and have lots of dresses for matching with leggings. the sale will start in December if you can wait a couple of weeks.

Always find GAP too wide for my DCs - I think their stuff is more generously sized for US market. You could try there. GAP clothes are funky but definitely day wear and not over old styles. Sadly can't buy online in the UK but can look at the US site to get an idea:

leggings

dresses

Also think Next sizes are very generous and they do a wide in some styles as well, but got to admit I can't see any day type smock and leggings outfits online.

Used to rely on Monsoon for narrow clothes on the high street but this season's clothes have been far too generous for my DD. (DD is 7.) They have a number of nice long sleeved tunics and tunic style dresses - some listed under tops and some under dresses e.g.

monsoon tunic

I really struggle TBH to find clothes for DD. She is (just) 7 but on the tall side, so wears age 9-10 generally. She's not fat by any means, but does have a bit of a tummy & bottom, which is apparently unheard of for a 7 year old....

Unfortunately I think clothes tend to be cut even slimmer for older girls, and we have pretty much given up on trousers for now as they are almost always too tight round her belly / bottom. Leggings & tracksuit bottoms are fine though, so she does wear a lot of leggings / dresses / tunics.

She has a few jumper dresses which she loves, also some lightweight tunic dresses which she wears with leggings & a big chunky cardigan.

Most of her clothes recently have been bought from Tesco (even manages to get a pair of cords which fit perfectly). Also Matalan, Debenhams, Pumpkin Patch, Next & Asda - she just has to try everything on as it's always a bit hit or miss.

H&M dresses & tops are fine, but trousers / jeans definitely cut for skinny minnies!

What about anything like this:Asda
next pinafore
And ribbed waist normally feels very comfy
rib waist jeans
purple rib waist boarders

Can confirm H&M for skinny-minnies - dd is tiny and theirs are the only trousers that actually are close fitting on her.
