I wore a black dress to a wedding in which we were there allday - DP was bestman.

I brightened it up with pink accessories and worked really well.

Definitely - have done it loads of times and added a bit of colour with accessories.

I wore all black to my cousins wedding some years ago. Nothing but black and it was fine. I think if you can carry it off there's no problem at all.

if you like gold, perhaps you could wear a gold shrug/cardi/shawl/lace thing round your shoulders.

or at the least, gold tones on your shoes, large gold bangles, gold necklace, gold tones on your handbag.
that kind of thing.

Definatley would wear black to an evening do.
IMO the evening do is a party so black is fine.
People went home and changed into black/party gear for my evening do and I wore black trousers and a spangly top to last evening one I went to.

My daughter got married recently. She had two adult bridesmaids and she wanted them to have dresses they could wear again.
