Think Mumsnet is responsible for my new addiction to internet shopping

I seem to spend all of my spare time packing up returns and taking them to the post office, or back to the shops. I keep vowing I will stop...but have just ordered another load of stuff. From your posts you all seem so stylish, and so knowledgeable, it has opened up a whole new world. I was on the computer for 3 hours last night browsing clothes (dh away). ARGH!

Yes, and everyone seems to be doing it, so it seems ok. I am at the stage where I'm hiding deliveries from my dh! I always send them back anyway...

welcome to my world ...

OK I am out of here, so far I've spent an hour browsing pictures of Robert Pattinson and looking at Fly London boots...I'm an addict!
It is also making me think my friends in real life aren't witty enough...

8oreighty, join the club my friend.

Even dp, who is usually oblivious, says "every time I look at you these days you're looking at clothes online"

Lizzylou · 19/11/2009 08:08

OH, I know, I have so many clothes now that I'd never have bought before.

Some bargains as well, so that's OK right?

MaggiePie · 19/11/2009 08:54

yes, I had been holding firm for decades. never bought clothes on line. I thought it was a dangerous path to go down. BUT now, I think nothing of clicking on somebody else's link and wondering if I should also buy it!

I bought fly shoes once because somebody else did. I LOVED them (worn out now).... it all started that night.

JuanMoreTime · 19/11/2009 08:56

me too
order boredly and send the lot back

Jagsy · 19/11/2009 08:57

LTEC, you are responsible for my shopping addiction! Everything you link to or sites you mention seem to have lovely stuff which is waaay over my budget, so lots of returns, but good fun trying on!

I have been a lurker for a while, read most of the S&B threads, a whole new world opens..

mrsshackleton · 19/11/2009 11:32

II keep resolving to stop buy clothes online UNLESS there are free returns, because the fabric/fit/colour is never quite how I imagine it will be (I always think I'll look just like the model)

But the mn links keep coming and I keep clicking and I keep having to fork out vast sums in return postage - even this bloody thread's done it, had to google inis and now will waste the whole day brooding over clothes I don't want or need

Aaagh

Have just spent a buttload at ELF. THey are giving away free little mini make up kits though. THat was another mumsnet tip. On the bright side the boots i just bought from NExt are amazing...now only ordering stuff with free returns.
