Toast Fedosia dress - how pregnant could I be and get away with it?

OK, so inspired by the 'what are you going to wear for Christmas' thread I've been ogling the Toast Fedosia dress, and thinking a) pretty cheap for Toast & b) looks pretty forgiving of the old tum and would I be able to get away with wearing it for a while? I'm about 14 weeks, no appreciable bump yet and still miles off fitting into my proper pregnancy clothes, but beginning to find ordinary trousers a bit offputting. I know none of you have a magic crystal ball and I might suddenly be all bump any day now, but d'you reckon it'd be worth a shot?

(& clutching at straws here - enough buttons that it would work for breastfeeding afterwards, maybe?)

It looks as though if it went over a big bump (in 4 months time say), it might become rather short at the front. Would you wear over jeans/leggings do you think?
Does look lovely otherwise (love the colour)

I've got it - in fact I mentioned it on the Xmas thread.

Am 7 weeks post-natal which is probably about the same, tummy-wise, as 14 weeks pregnant! And it's a good dress, heavy enough to skim over the bulges and loose enough to drape nicely. I reckon you could wear it up until around 6 months and it would look good - beyond that you could prob fit into it but it may not look as good, depending on how your bump goes

anyway - code W9mSL at checkout for free P&P and free returns so you can see it for yourself!

oh yes, and it does work for breastfeeding.

OhBuggerandArse · 16/11/2009 16:01

Hurrah! I hoped you'd turn up - and thank you so much for the code!

IS your one the pink? Is it really really pink, or a reddy pink sort of colour?

(ooh, and any thoughts on sizing? Would one up from normal do it, or would it even be worth taking a chance in my usual size?)

I have this dress in the purple colour and I LOVE IT. It is very flattering and comfortable and I reckon it would do you up until 6/7 months preggers.

I wear mine with leggings or thick tights and have had at least 5 positive comments about it (and I have only had it a week!)

The pink one is quite a dark-reddish pink. Gorgeous colour. As LTEC says, it's quite heavy so should drape well, even if it's a teensy bit higher at the front b/c of your bump.

vesela · 16/11/2009 21:20

btw is quite warm, though - I don't know if that makes a difference.

That was what I was hoping to hear!

Have just put the order in, so will wait excitedly till it arrives and report back. That is the most expensive thing-that-I-didn't-REALLY-need that I've bought for a very long time!
