I despair, I have been in every shop known to man (or should that be woman) today. It's just the same old same old.

Giddy - nice. Duffel's seem to be the in thing this year. I had one as a child for school and they were fashionable for a while in the 80's, I had one then too. I think I am a bit duffelled out.(for me).

I did try a waxed fitted barbour jacket on but it felt a bit blee as it had "Barbour" emblazoned in gold on and the trims and zips were gold.

Ah you have all managed to buy things you love, nothing is grabbing me at the moment. I have 2 down jackets and want something different. Why is it when you have money to spend you can anything and yet when you don't you find lots?

Dh bought me a lovely coat from Per Una a few weeks ago and it is fab. Keeps me warm but not to hot, is waterproof, has a hood and looks great with heels or my Converse pumps.

This is the one I tried on, but the buttons and details are gold, very very gold and just a bit too showy for me. It's a shame because it is a really nice jacket, much better in rl than the pic.

I went to an Artigiano outlet and got a padded jacket for £39 (was £169) and then decided I needed a proper warm coat too and got a cashmere mix one for £89 (was £299) so I will be toasty and reasonably smart this winter.
