Is NEXT the new C&A?

NEXT used to be good about 20 years back- quality knitwear amongst other htings.

For several years now it's been going downhll- recently I walked in and could not wait to get out. Reminded me of the old C&A- wall to wall polyester, garish T shirts, and boring office suits and jeans. Doubt if there was a natural fibre in the entire store - apart from the jeans.

I love Top Shop. Gap. Fcuk. Jigsaw. Zara. Karen Millen. Dorothy Perkins. And NEXT. I think the trick is to mix things up a little.

Its not where you shop. Its what you buy.

I used to have a boyfriend who worked at Next in its hey day (late 80s) when they were taking other the world... Other than his tales of threesomes with the girls from the shop he had a good line in folding sweaters. Do you remember when Next used to have tables like Gap with folded sweaters. That was his job. He was a dream for sorting out the clothes...

Typing this has bought back the nightmares of late 80s/early 90s christmas sweaters... Arhhhh
