I know these don't look that great on the website, but they are long in the body, and actually very good for layering.

I have one in blue, purple and black.

here

hmm, you are right - they look bloody awful on the website but I'll take your word for it J&G, thanks

the colours look quite bright for me, are they really as bright as they look on screen?

actually have another thread at mo asking about tesco F&F sizing - do they com eup big and voluminous or teeny and tight? am usually about a 12 ish on top (not much in way of norkage, sad to say) and large 12 to 14ish on bottom (large arse)

is there a general rule of thumb with F&F?

I have the heattech ones from Uniqlo and the basic long-sleeve Top Shop ones - both are long bodied on me (I'm 5'6 if that helps?)

Prunerz · 11/11/2009 22:13

Dunno about your budget, but Toast have wool/?viscose ones for £59 for two - good colours. I need long-bodies, long-sleeved ones and tried them on (but am waiting for the sale!) and they are great.

Jewelsandgems · 11/11/2009 22:13

Well the ones I have are not bright - the ones on the website look a different shade completely.

Sizing-wise, I have 2X8 and 1X10 and both are fine for fit - the8s are better on me and I would say I am a definate 10.

Looking at them again (I have just quaffed a glass of rose champagne) I am not sure mine are the same as those on the website: I bought in-store. Saying that, the price is the same.....do you have a tescos you could actually go to?

peanutbrittle · 12/11/2009 15:22

have looked on toast but can't see them - saw lots of other delicious stuff though....ooooh those colours just kill me...

J&G - thanks for that - I had a suspicion tesco sizing was probably a bit on the big size rather than the teeny tiny size, yes you are right should just get myself to a local store (groans)

American apparel gets my vote!

8oreighty · 12/11/2009 15:55

What are uniqlo sizes like? I am a 10 normally...but not if skimpy.

NorkilyChallenged · 12/11/2009 17:01

I'm a 10 bordering on 12 - small in H&M fits me but can be a leetle bit tight (eg on the sleeves of the long sleeved tops) whereas a small in the Uniqlo was just perfect. I'm wanting them to be quite close-fitting as they are for layering under things.

geordieminx · 12/11/2009 17:18

I got a really nice grandad style long sleeved t from New Look yesterday - it has fake white t-shirt underneath IYKWIM.

2 pages here

Certainly more online than instore.

sleepwhenidie · 12/11/2009 17:23

American Vintage are usually long bodied and gorgeous fabric, great for layering but £££

At other end of budgetary scale, H&M vest tops are nice and long in the body (good for pg and post pg tummies ime!) so maybe their long sleeved T's will be too?

mollyroger · 12/11/2009 17:27

Joe Browns have a 2-pack -1 white, 1 black on their website. they are round neck though. I like v necks under stuff.
Last year I got great long sleeve v tight and stretchy from Gap.

stuffitllllama · 12/11/2009 17:31

h and m I would say, maybe boys dept if you are not very tall

NorkilyChallenged · 12/11/2009 17:34

Am wearing a long sleeve H&M one now, scoop neck, they have lots of colours. As I said, a bit tight in the sleeve as I bought small but medium would be fine. Thicker than the Top Shop ones and think they were £7.99 each (I have white, green and burgundy)

peanutbrittle · 12/11/2009 18:27

do have some H+M ones I love, I like the thinner clingier ones for layering, not the thick sweat inducing ones, oooh no

am 5'6 so no good for kids ones - think have quite a long body too (ie sodding short legs!) and have a dark drear dread of ever exposing my flabby midriff
