I want to go blonde but fear that it may be a Very Poor Idea.

Have a longish bob with blunt fringe.

Naturally darkish brown with several greys, so dyed a chestnutty colour.

Skin quite sallow - am a bit 'Italian looking' apparantly.

Am suddenly hankering after blonde.

Am not v good at going to hairdressers regularly so would have be something I maintained myself.

Would this be madness?

I have never met a dyed blonde who wouldn't actually look better with something nearer her natural colour. Don't get the obsession with blonde at all. Don't do it.

Caramel is probably the kinder name for mouse but honey is a warm blonde colour.

I'd describe this as mousey caramel with honey highlights around the face.

Yes, that is the sort of blonde that your skintone could take. You are a zillion zellweger miles from the pinky hue of Renee, and her hair would look dreadful on you.

Don't really like the picture of Beyonce.

And am also suspicious that if I dyed my hair in the Jennifer Aniston pallette it would indeed look mousy.

It only looks good on her because she is all glamourous and polished.And I am - sadly - neither.

Do not want mousy bob.

Maybe should change style also....

I have had Jennifer's colour and looking back it was insipid.
I have brown eyes and am naturally brunette(with occasional greys now!)and a few months ago went back to darker tones.
Have to say I love it!
It looks much healthier/glossier,and I touch up the greys myself,so much cheaper too.
