CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:21

not that anyone cares

JANEITEluddite · 01/11/2009 21:21

Clarins mascara - bought it on Thursday and have only worn it once but v impressed.

And having said that I now hate No 7, I bought a nailvarnish called 'Heather' and really like it - it is almost the old lady dirty pink shade that I've been after for ages.

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:22

you want to look like a dirty old lady?

JANEITEluddite · 01/11/2009 21:24

i tried a bit of bobbi brown solid foundation as a sort of concealer the other day. it was very impressive but i don't wear foundation so didn't pursue it.

SixtyFootDoll · 01/11/2009 21:33

does it not go cakey OP?

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:37

No not one jot, it goes on a treat and I am VEY fussy about my foundation having been blessed with less than perfect skin

SixtyFootDoll · 01/11/2009 21:43

Will give it a try am forever in search of the holy grail of foundation that can sope with my spots and wrinkles!!

CybilCybilCybil · 01/11/2009 21:48

watch the colours, they all look quite similar in the shop, I took them outside to have a better look.

Mummee · 01/11/2009 21:55

Origins by mistake...have very sensitive skin and everything I used gave me fine rash until I discovered origins.

ellieloooooooooooooween · 01/11/2009 21:55

I love the Nivea tinted moisturiser its great when you are in a hurry and it looks like you have made a bit of an effort

AuntieMaggie · 01/11/2009 22:04

Bobbi brown shimmer brick - love it! Haven't tried anything else because I have a box full of make up I need to use first!

Also a girl at work introduced me to L'Occitane - why have I never heard of it before? Their stuff i gorgeous!!!

Also, Lancome foundation - colour ideal I think it's called.

jodee · 01/11/2009 22:21

Spots and wrinkles, bah! I can cope with one or t'other, both is just unfair! In desparation I googled 'foundation for mature oily skin' and came up with Revlon Colorstay Foundation, bought some last week and it is brilliant, I wish I'd discovered it earlier!

moondog · 01/11/2009 22:34

Chanel Vitalumiere foundation.Had a free sample.
Lovely.

MustNotEatCake · 01/11/2009 22:53

happiness.

SixtyFootDoll · 02/11/2009 07:42

Thanks Jodee!

brimfull · 02/11/2009 07:53

Lancome colour ideal foundation - great for my combination skin and hides massive pores

Body shop hemp hand cream - better than L'occitane and clarins by miles

CybilCybilCybil · 02/11/2009 07:55

ggirl when you say HIDES do you mean BLOCKS

brimfull · 02/11/2009 10:05

well no spots here , so yes hides

luckyblackcat · 02/11/2009 10:18

In TKMaxx I got some very cheap Bliss Spa Sleeping Peel wash off cleanser and skin refining serum - 1/4 - 1/3 original price iirc.

Contains some acidy stuff to smooth fine lines, tighten pores and skin - like a chemical exfoliation.

The pores on my nose have never been so small! Having spent a fortune over the years on treatments and potions I am a happy reduced pored woman.

jodee · 02/11/2009 10:47

you're welcome SFD! Sadly I can no longer afford premium foundation, Revlon not too bad at just under £12.

I also use a little dab of Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer on the really bad bits!
