You know the ones that you use to remove hair on your legs - they're like a pad you wear on your hand and rub it in a circular motion on your legs.

I saw an advert ages ago on the shopping channel and was intrigued but been burned too many times buying stuff off there.

Saw them in the pound shop today, 99p a pack and decided to take a punt. Well you could knock me down with a feather because they seem to actually work. And there's no pain. And it's made my legs really smooth!

There's loads of sort of dust though, apparently that is the dry skin off my legs (ffs!)

I am simultaneously disgusted and impressed.

nooo wouldn;t use epilator on fanjo.

HAve used it on armpits tho.

Plucked out armpit hair fascinating btw (but I am very dark-haired (except on my head these days))

the silkymit...so that's a no, then!

underarms sounds good though, is it quicker than shaving?

AnyGhoulKno · 28/10/2009 00:06

It's not much quicker but it's less messy and you could do it anywhere. I did it watching tv (with a towel under my legs)

It took about 10 minutes to do both legs

i'm impressed

sometimes i find self having a bath just to shave various bits, which is a palaver

Epilator works on pits, yes.... and I'm dark haired person of jewish heritage.

hormonstersnomore · 28/10/2009 19:38

Epilators are great. I use on legs, underarms, feet (I'm a bit of a gorilla ), bikini line (not fanjo - use bikini trimmer for that!). Only painful first time. Once I realised I wasn't bleeding, I could stand the 'discomfort'. It gets much easier with use as the hair roots seem to weaken a bit.

AnyGhoulKno · 30/10/2009 23:07

eek - I hope you lot are happy, I saw an epilator today and before I knew what I was doing I had bought it!

Hope you're all right about it not being too painful

I remember silkymits - might have to buy some if they're available again - that other one looks good as well. Anything to avoid waxing and am allergic to hair-removing creams and find epilators too painful.

Found myself eyeing up the Boots laser thing but not sure about spending the best part of £300! Anyone tried it and know if it's any good?
