And i ask that in a non pervy voice I can assure you!

I am wearing my boden duck egg blue favourite v neck cardi over a primark navy cami with my boden velvet wide leg trouses in blue. My accessories are a gorgeous blue necklace (bought to match cardi of course!) and a particulary fine glass of white wine. DD's are happily playing and their tea is in the oven. All is well!

Over to you....

Jajas, my problem with tights is that i ladder them all or get holes in them pretty quickly. Even wooly ones. I find that holding a baby on your lap in particular seems to ruin them! Baby shoes seem to put 'runs' in them and kicking of little feet snag them. I could not spend £26 given they would prob last about 6 wears at most. Are you really careful with them or are they super strong for that price?

Never fear jajas - there's always someone sillier more extravagant somewhere. I bought a pair of Marni tights for EUR 75 recently.

They are terribly beautiful .

CristinaTheAstonishing · 23/10/2009 21:59

Jajas - I read the reasoning and how they're nice. But £26? A pair of tights? I have reasonable shoes but I always snag my tights after 2-3 wears tops. Do they really last longer? They don't bobble?

SorciereAnna · 23/10/2009 22:00

Good tights last for ages. A good pair of Wolford opaques lasts for weeks of wear.

Do they? Even with the cat around? Or the children? Don't you put your knees under the office desk/restaurant table in the same way? Or do you behave in a more uptight manner because you're protecting your tights?

PumpkinsCantDanceTheTango · 23/10/2009 22:03

chattermous - yup thats the ones! Bloody ASDA - work next to one now and the clothing section is too tempting!

SorciereAnna · 23/10/2009 22:03

Yes they are woolly, and thick, with a woven jacquard pattern. They are very, very warm indeed.

Jajas - I could almost see the point in a £100 pair of jeans if they made your bum/legs look nice etc. But tights don't actually do that much. Anyhow, I'll remember this and ask you in the New Year about your tights, to see how many pairs you've gone through

Well jajas, if the last all winter then they are prob decent value as i buy £5 a pair ones wich ruin pretty quickly. That said though i just couldn't bring myself to spend £26 in one go as i just know i would ladder them on their first outting....

A denim dress I have had for c10 years with a rip which exposes my bum, knickers and no bra. I have spent loads on fancy "lounge wear" which I love but for some reason always gravitate back to this horrible dress for my relaxing at home gear.

Earlier I was wearing a black Warehouse polo neck, dark indigo skinnies, black Emu boots and a big black cardi from Jigsaw.

tulpe · 23/10/2009 22:18

I love these threads Gives me loads of ideas for what to put together.......or not

Am wearing:

Fat Face flared jeans
Top Shop long sleeve tee in deep teal
Top Shop short sleeve cowl neck cardi in deep teal
Tesco brown socks
Toast sheepskin slippers

Jajas......have been considering those Toast tights myself. They look gorgeous. I usually wear Wolford or JL own brand but the grey ones in particular look v nice

monkeysmama · 23/10/2009 22:23

I love these threads too. But I am always amazed at how many women wear proper clothes at home. The first thing I do when I get in is put my house clothes on and I never get dressed until just before I go out.

PumpkinsCantDanceTheTango · 23/10/2009 22:23

No but I have been avoiding their jackets as just bought the £15 black one with the belt, and dont want to look at anymore. Although I had a dream about a £69 jacket lastnight

JamInMyWellies · 23/10/2009 22:26

I am wearing citizens of humanity jeans, Abercrombie check shirt thing and vest top.
