feel free to comment on anything if you wish, equally feel free to ignore.

right carrie you need 1 pair of boot cut jeans
and some decent thick tights.

and a causal dress and a top or two..

no getting silly going out things, you cannot afford it you need practical day things!

I agree, am unsure about polo necks but worry that the beautiful-looking scoop necks (like the Peacocks one and that Oasis one) would be blimmin freezing in this weather as you'd have to wear another scoop neck top underneath (wouldn't you? don't know as have no fashion sense).

Am enjoying searching so if you tell us more about your requirements, likes/dislikes, budget, then I could hunt around a bit for you? A lot of what you've posted you have said is too dressy, you want things for being at home with kids?

So no roll necks. Any other preferences?

How do you feel about the day dresses with short sleeves? Would you be wearing a dress with tights/leggings/jeans?

i prefer tigths or jeans not really a fan of leggigns fro some reason.

i don't mind short sleeves but i don't really fancy being cold iykwim!

Okay, here are some dresses I like but hard to know if it's what you're looking for and I sense from your own links that you might prefer a different kind of shop but these are New Look:

Weirdly drawn to this despite it being called bambi

This one would be cute with long sleeves under and wearing over jeans I think

I like the unusual-ness of this one but fear it may make you look an odd shape

Lovely colour though more of a tunic than a dress

Based on your thoughts on these, will refine my search further

Ooh how about this one?

i do quite like the bambi one, quite different from anything i usually wear though iykwim, although might be good to go for a change

not so keen on the rose one, i'd have to se it in rl

yeah i like the grey one, but i know what you meaan about shape, aanother look at in rl i think

i do like the purple one, although not too sure about the belt

i know im a picky devil.

i really like burnt orange, wine, dark green, brwn colours.

Could probably take the belt off (I usually do when I buy belted things as the belts are usually crap).

Picky is fine, it's fun to spend someone else's virtual money.

How about the level of casual-ness? And what are you wearing dresses with?

Nice colour for you but short-sleeved

Can't decide whether this top is nice or a bit scruffy looking

Ooooh oooh brown, lovely, could dress up or down

Good autumnal colours in the range you say you like would look lovely with long boots

Cute! even though it's called Cheryl (apologies to anyone called Cheryl!)

This is lovely despite the pompoms

Wrap dress

Surely everyone needs a poodle dress. Not a serious suggestion as the neck is no good but seriously... a poodle dress!

I have now found a great dress for me even though not allowed to shop.

Thank you for tolerating me, this has been great fun!

Oh this has the type of colours you like though I'm sensing you are less keen on patterns?

2nd omg i hate that

3rd i like, maybe a bit posh for me !

my dd would heart that rabbit dress.

yeah suppose i'm not massive into pattern, never realised that before although i do like bold floral patterns but they need to be bug patterns

warehouse mink dress is the one I like. Boobage too large for the peacock one!! But I might go and look as there is a Peacocks up the road.

Someone link to a similar dress on here that was lovely. Had a cowl neck and had some kind of gathering at waist that was sure to have disguised my flabby tummy. Haven't managed to find it again. Can't even remember which shop it came from
