I am momentarily coming out of shopping retirement ...

to buy an apron. To preserve the life of the clothes I have, you see, and to remove the necessity for constant outfit changes, for which I no longer have time. I can't bear to tell you how many clothes have been relegated to the ragbag due to oil splatters/ toothpaste stains/ face paint accidents

I find myself strangely drawn to this but am open to ideas (and think £40 is a bit much of an apron tbh!) Nothing too boring or ordinary though... and please god, no Kidston....

ShutUpandDrinkYourGin · 20/10/2009 21:21

ShutUpandDrinkYourGin · 20/10/2009 21:23

unusual print

fiftie style and maybe over budget?

LetThemEatCake · 21/10/2009 09:48

ooh LTEC, anything in a size 14 in your ebay clearout pile? CAT me your ebay seller name if there is.
I'm assuming not. Your fat clothes are probably a 10.

congratulations on the arrival of your baby.

you kept that quiet.

LetThemEatCake · 21/10/2009 10:16

I did not!! I was shouting about it all over S&B!!!

I gave birth in the middle of this thread, it's a long read but mildly amusing

will have a sort-through and see if there's anything you might fancy. Have you had the wedding yet?

Oh, now i started following that thread but as I'd look positively awful in a pink dress, i lost interest.

Congrats (again) and great name. Lovely.

The wedding was hilarious and i'm I was so worried about what to wear after seeing everybody else! The guy serving the tea was wearing a halterneck skinny mini dress. Most were too stoned to notice my co-ordinating tights. I switched to biker boots and my kookai cardi after dinner and sat by the fire with a bottle of pinot grigio under my arm and a glass of wine in the other.

Accessory regret: Wish i'd remembered to pack my head torch to find the composting toilets at night.

Only you could give birth on a S&B thread! Well done.

CAT is the contact a mumsnetter facility.

It costs £5 a year to use it, but in my mind, as there's no membership fee for mumsnet, i don't mind paying it.

You can send a message to another mumsnetter and exchange email addresses or facebook names etc.

I think the other mnetter needs to have signed up to the facility to recieve a message though.

If you scroll to the bottom of the page it's under membership.

PumpkinOnSourdough · 21/10/2009 13:50

this is quite nice, and also sweet or how about this little number

I always put an apron on when cooking or doing mucky jobs around the house. Makes me wonder where I do get the stains on my clothes...

OllieWollieWoo · 21/10/2009 16:54

Any of these? Not very stylish but made me smile! I like the Calm Down and Cook one or the Born to Shop Not Cook one!
here

OllieWollieWoo · 21/10/2009 16:57

Bless my dh.

He took dcs 1&2 to sainsbo's this morning and bought me not one,but two aprons. One red & White polkas, one black & White stripe.

With....get this.... A matching double-ended oven mitt for each.

So coordinated!! So conscientious!!!

And a total spend of less than half a Posh Pinny
