with tights as opposed to leggings?

My legs are ok(ish), but leggings seem to add extra chunk factor.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I saw someone with very nice fingerless mittens yesterday.

They weren't neon though so maybe the times are a-changing.

PMSL at Millets!

Waistcoats - yes! Fingerless gloves - yes! Teeny tiny lycra skirts over leggings - yes!

Japanese hobble skirts anyone?

I'm surprised at how many people seem to be happy to do leggings again though - I wouldn't contemplate them - and 'jeggings' are screamingly hideous imho.

I picked up queenager from this lady.

I think it is quite fitting for the super stroppy stage of life.

What I don't understand is how even when they are wearing fasion horrors how the teenagers todays look so much more together than we did in the 80s and 90s.
Surely they are subject to the same angst, insecurity and self-doubt? I guess they have more to guide them than Just 17.

For everyone's amusement I have added my own tribute to Max Wall to my profile.

I should like you to pay special attention to the oversized M&S man cardi and baby DMs. I later bought a pair of adult DMs in cherry red, so I looked more like an un-struck match.

nice one Steaknife At least you had the legs for it - I so didn't but insisted on flying the Max fashion flag regardless.

Oh yes M&S grandad cardies, they were good for covering up the old (or young, at the time) arse... and fingerless gloves, a collection Fagin would have been proud of. I only had one pair of rainbow toe socks though, before realising that those were a really bad idea.
