What do 30-somethings wear to 'club it' these days?

Going to a hen party in July and starting to think about what I should wear for the Sat night clubbing bit!

I was a clubber 'in my youth' but it's years since I hit the dancefloor anywhere other than a wedding and I'm not sure what I should be wearing!

Want something flattering and 'clubby' so I don't stand out like a married mother but something 'classy' as well - don't want to look like a tart!

Are jeans really allowed in a club? Don't clubs still have that 'no jeans, no trainers' thing?

last time i went to a club (end of may) I wore a charcoal grey spaghetti strap t shirt, long straight beaded and crocheted tube skirt and flip flops.

Most girls we saw looked like they were looking for business though, micro skirts, tits spilling out of teeny tops and 4 inch heels. Made me feel sad actually, they all looked so desperate.

In summer everyone wears flip flops.

Last time I went clubbing (last week) I wore a brown gypsy skirt, white v-neck tank, and brown leather flip flops. V.comfy.

Wedges and denim minis are cool. Or jeans with a fab top and beads.

I went out a couple of weeks back and they only way I could describe it was like a Meat Market.

Very sad and desperate.

Glad I asked now! Sounds like it's more casual than I remember so will maybe wear jeans and get a nice sparkly top!

My stock clubbing thing is a black skirt, killer heels and trendy t-shirt type top. all very black and very flattering. (i think...i could be massivley mistaken
