Petite Ladies: Long Jumper or Cardigan than doesn't fall to your knees ....

I'm trying to find long jumpers and long cardigans to wear with jeans and leggings that when you wear them they don't drop to your knees instead of staying at your mid thigh were they should stop! tried all the usual petite places but haven't found anything.

yeah, good luck with that

I have yet to find proper petite clothes apart from stuff that makes you look like you work in an office

Bumping for you - I am failing dismally in my long cardigan for a short-arse hunt.

Paolosgirl · 11/10/2009 15:01

Ditto. Have you looked in the kids/teenage section? I fit the 14 year old stuff - you may get something there (not ideal, I know...)

I've seen some great jumpers and cardigans in Jane Norman but of course they are down to my knees - sometimes I just hate being a short-arse

I bought a black belted cardigan in tesco and it was £12. It's alright. Not too long, and looks ok at the moment although I haven't had to wash it yet. IT's nothing too special BUT it seems to be cut for a shorter woman. Belt is in the right place and it's long enough to cover bum but doesn't go down to knees.

I am 5ft, have long cardigans from Zara, stop mid thigh, and long jumper from h&m, it is perfect.

Petite Affair has some tunic/long line knits, but not the cheapest.

MaggieBehave · 11/10/2009 20:46

never heard of them before crystal.. looking at the dresses now. Always good to have MORE petite options as the petite range is usually the stuff I'd be least likely to pick out from the normal range of say wallis or principles.

brokenspacebar · 11/10/2009 21:03

Dorothy Perkins and Topshop do a very limited range of petite, but they do have long cardigans.

Good link Crystal, thank you.

As a fully paid up 5ft short arse, I've been buying from Petite Affair on and off for a few years now. Good quality stuff, occasional "What WERE they thinking?" garments/fabrics, but generally a great source of properly proportioned jeans, dresses etc that are otherwise usually off-limits on account of their ridiculous length. Worth checking out when they have a sale on, too.

Saved to favourites crystal! thanks.

My legs are the longer half of my body which means I can get away with normal length jeans with a heel. But it is dresses that are a nightmare for me. I have a short waist. I need to try on about 3,587,987 dresses to find one that looks a little bit better than shite, then I quickly buy it out of desperation.
