Please help me find some shoes for this outfit

Christmas party, I have bought this dress

and want to buy

these and

this

to go with it.

There is also a matching necklace, I'm thinking that would be to much, right?

Should I wear red shoes with it? Any recommendations? I know killer heels would go, but I really can't wear them. Could just about manage kitten heels, I suppose.

To be honest, I'm not totally sure about the dress, but I have

this one too, which I would wear with a different belt.

I do love the jewellery, though I know it's not everyone's taste. Help me please!

both dresses ok
earrings etc horrible
dress one is a bit staid - dress two racier
depends what impression you want to give
with dress two Id wear leaopard print.

I much prefer dress one from Next.

But think you;d need the killer heels to go with it. Could you not suffer them for a night, and after a few drinks?

I quite like the jewellery

Celery · 10/10/2009 19:19

The jewellery is by Tarina
Tarantino, who makes very kitsch stuff, it's had a lot of publicity. The rose pieces are understated compared to a lot of her work. I guess you either love it or hate it.

Anyone care to link me to some shoes please?

Celery, I love the Next dress, very simple and lovely shape. I'd be tempted to go a little OTT with the shoes though as the dress is so sweet and demure and simple.
Something like these or Floral Bar Court&s_group=1 these by Irregular Choice are really cute and girly but definitely not predictable.

Links have come out a bit funny - but they do seem to work (for me anyway).

Thank you, that's kind of what I had in mind, a simple dress with kitsch but stylish accessories and shoes.

I love the Irregular Choice shoes, but need to psyche myself up to wear them, not to mention practice walking in the heels.

Celeery - love your ones with the bow - very nice... a hint of the 1940's which goes well with the dress.

200yearoldhorsehair · 11/10/2009 10:29

maybe too high

Celery · 11/10/2009 11:16

Oooh, they're nice. But maybe a bit high, yes. Thank you for all the suggestions. I do like the leapard print ones, but they are very expensive, and I'm not sure Leapard is really me.
