GAP is the same in the US as in the UK I think. You might need to go to a bigger GAP store in the UK. I would just phone them up and ask them.

why don't you sign up to a company called Borderlinx?? (Google them), they'll provide you with a US postal address so you can get stuff delivered from US websites and they then ship (for a fee) to you in the UK. I used this service for a pair of Uggs last year when the exchange rate was really favourable. To be honest the fee charged for shipping for Borderlinx is not the cheapest but I still got my Uggs cheaper than they cost here (only by about a tenner after the Borderlinx fee) but if you want the jacket this may be a good way. PLus I find that US companies normally ship to US postal addresses for free so the only additional cost will be the Borderlinx fee for shipping.

There is another company called MyUSA who do the same as Salvadory's one, you could copare the prices of the two of them.

I went into Gap today and they said that the UK and US collections are different, but apparently we sometimes get bits of the US stuff later on in the season. They gave me a number to call to check.

Don't suppose anyone's seen anything else like it - ie,. moleskin, three quarter length and a nice soft colour (not necessarily purple)?
