I'd like some trendy but practical boots.......

.....to wear over skinny jeans and under regular jeans.
I'd like a small heel but I'm a childminder so they need to be practical and easy to put on, especially as it takes us about half an hour to get out the house once all coats and shoes are on.

Can you wise ladies help me?

I would too

Oh and I have big feet - size 7 which, for my height (5ft4), look wrong. I'd love a pair of cowboy boots but they look like canoes on me

There are some nice ones on the next website that look practical and aren't high heeled .

tulpe · 03/10/2009 21:15

Yes, Next have some pull on boots which sound ideal for your purposes. How about these?

Fruitbatlings · 03/10/2009 21:18

I think I'd like something a little more feminine, especially with my big feet. Do we like these?

I've just bought a lovely pair from M and S Limited Collection. Small heel, black with a buckle detail. Pull on, only £39.50!

Fruitbatlings · 03/10/2009 22:17

were they these?

Dune ones are gorgeous

Those M and S ones linked to in Fruit's last post also come in purple (interested). Do you think they would go with wrap dresses in purple/magenta/blue and black for work? And how warm are they, linz, if they're the ones you have?

I do have a couple of pairs of low heeled leather boots I can wear for work, but they are black, and it seems everyone here thinks black is passe. I was wondering about getting some brown ones, but think purple might be another option.

Fruitbatlings · 04/10/2009 07:25

purple's good I just prefer brown as I'd get more wear out of them as they will go with all my clothes
