It is my grandmother's funeral tomorrow. I have to drive for 2 hours to get to my parents' house, have lunch with relatives, then go on to funeral, tea with rels adn drive back home...what to wear?

Do you have a dark suit / dress to wear for the funeral?
Could you put your outfit in the car, and drive in a comfy outfit, then change into your funeral outfit at your parents'?
Better than travelling in a posh outfit and worrying about it being creased.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother.

thanks eaglebird, she was 95 and had been poorly for quite a while (in hospital since the end of July) my poor old dad was wearing himself out with visiting

I think the idea of changing on arrival is a good one, hadn't considered that option

Thanks riven. No dress code, I have a dress I've never worn so will take that adn some black trousers and see which feels best I think

If there's no code, always go for the traditional, especially as, in this case, it's an older person.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother.
