just wanted to say after reading about these jeans on here I went and tried them on. They are super flattering. I am size 8-10 and I bought the 8 as the girls said they stretch a bit and to buy the smallest pair you can get into.
I can't weat skinnys as I am very curvy but these straight leg look really cool and much more flattering

I love them!!

Me too

chachalepew · 20/09/2009 15:03

The word "I'm a size 8 and curvy", don't go together

bishboschone · 20/09/2009 15:09

sorry didn't mean to sound flippant but i do have a big bum for a little person or a very little waist(whichever way you look at it).

Anyway I am sure they are flattering on bigger sizes too cause I am only 5ft 1

it's fine, I remember being a skinny minnie with a large bum. Unfortunately the rest of my body has caught up with it.

cheeryface · 20/09/2009 16:25

that sounds promising. i am 5ft 2 size 10 but with a big bum! i find it a struggle to find jeans that fit properly.

bishboschone · 20/09/2009 19:21

yes cheeryface you sound similar to me and they are great. I usually wear diesel jeans as they are flattering on the bottom but they are pretty hard denim. The marthas are lovely soft comfy denim. I have a flat stomach just all bottom and the size 8 are perfect in black for evening wear. I bought the blue in a 10 for a more subtle daytime look. fabola!!

DillyTantay · 20/09/2009 19:32

agree
are fab
PIty the leg legnths are so reg and then UBER long though

bishboschone · 21/09/2009 16:18

ah...you say that but I had to buy 32 leg and I have never bought 32 leg in my life. I bought 30 and had to take them back cause they were tooo short over my heals

OP posts:
DillyTantay · 21/09/2009 16:19

heels?

yes the 32 are JUST ok for me with flats

Grisette · 21/09/2009 18:59

Doesn't everything look good when you are a size 8?

chaosisawayoflife · 21/09/2009 19:15

I made the mistake of buying these in a size 12 when I think I should have got a 10. I normally don't pick up size 10 jeans to try on because its too depressing, even though I'm a 10 in most other things. They fit fine but permanently feel like they're falling down. I have to wear a belt with them. I think I'll have to put them on a hot wash next time to try to shrink them a bit. But I agree, I love them and have worn them almost constantly since I got them (apart from when they're in the wash obviously!).

pofacedandproud · 21/09/2009 19:17

yes they are great. need to get some more.

Lulubee · 21/09/2009 19:20

Argh, really want to try some on now as I am also posessed of an unfeasibly large arse. But I think that as usual I will be doomed to failure and will end up being depressed about yet another abortive jeans mission.

I would say they are medium waist. They don't entirely hold in my mummy tummy, but at the same time don't feel like they are exposing half my bum (unless I'm not wearing a belt).

noddyholder · 21/09/2009 19:48

I think you need a big bum for them

pofacedandproud · 21/09/2009 20:43

my bum has always been rather small actually. They are much tighter on the thigh than same size in fat face jeans.

traceybath · 21/09/2009 20:45

Definitely go down a size in Marthas. I'm a size bigger in baxters.

Do wish the marthas didn't have the flaps on the back pockets though.

pofacedandproud · 21/09/2009 22:03

mine don't

Clure · 21/09/2009 22:24

I too bought the martha's after thread on here and am very pleased with them. I'm 5'1 and managed to buy the shorter leg to wear with little heels and flip flops. I have to say I found them quite a snug fit. I'm size 8 but with a "good" sized bum. They suck it in, only a little spillage over the top!

bishboschone · 22/09/2009 15:59

sorry yes ..heels!!..still love mine ...yes I couldn't getmy bum into most normal size 8 jeans so they must come up big.

OP posts:
bishboschone · 22/09/2009 16:01

they are hugely comfortable too which is great. my diesel jeans look good but aren't bloody uncomfortable!!
