Today's jeans look lousy on me, what alternatives have I?

I am not especially overweight. I have an old-fashionedy kind of figure with an ok waist, but also with boobs, hips and a bottom.

Skinny jeans look dreadful on me, tapering down to little legs and feet from hips that suddenly look giant.

I don't really like flares, but I have always favoured bootcut as they balance out the hips, but they are not exactly the jean du jour, any advice on trouser/jean shape?

Agree, Topshop straight leg Marthas are fantastic, although they have rececently revamped them and I haven't tried the newest ones yet. They are a great compromise on Skinnies.

This one of those times when being really fat is an advantage, because no type of jeans can make me look fatter! Whatever I wear, someone will probably think 'look at that fat cow' so I might as well go and get some skinnies

millenium - I love those jeans and am similar body shape too. BUT, what do you wear on your feet? My tendency would be only casual, but can you dress them up do you think?? Need winter non-trainer ugg boots footwear ideas ...

i don't really dress up jeans tbh - although i do have a pair that are too long so i only wear them with heeled boots. but those ones are a very dark blue and stretch/skinny, my kuyichis are baggier and a faded look so i don't think they'd work at all dressy.
