Yes it's an Asian guy who does mine for £3. I don't think it lasts longer than waxing though?

Zembo · 11/09/2009 21:27

Better than plucking cos no ingrowing hairs and the shape you get is amazing. I pay £3 for eyebrows done by an Asian lady - she's sooo good - and its not THAT painful.

NorbertDentressangle · 11/09/2009 22:24

Have Debenhams introduced this at every store then because I noticed that they've just started doing it in our nearest one?

The only place I'd seen it before was in a booth at Birmingham New St station

I want to get my brows done as I can never get a good shape (or if I do its only on one brow and I end up looking like this -> )

re:pain -I don't find it painful to pluck my brows so does this mean I shouldn't find threading too painful?

Its just that some people can't even pluck their own as they claim it hurts too much.

Huge fan of threading, been doing it for years, much less painful than waxing and a lovely smooth finish. I don't think it lasts any longer than waxing or creams (for upper lip say) but is much better. And not too red afterwards for going out!
But don't go just before or during your period, much more painful then!

ABitBatty · 11/09/2009 23:24

I can't pluck my own eyebrows because it hurts too much. In order of pain for me:

Plucking own brows
Someone else plucking my brows
Threading
Waxing

Now I have discovered threading I won't consider any other method now

S'all about threading, the finish is amazing..and yep i wouldnt pay more than £3 for it..its just a bit of cotton they use and takes less than 10 mins...i think the growth rate is the same as waxing..i had my face done once and found they grew back quicker so i just get my eyebrows done

ReneRusso · 11/09/2009 23:44

does your hair have to be a certain length for threading? so have to let your eyebrows grow back to full monstrous bushiness?

happilyeverafter · 12/09/2009 00:18

I find plucking and waxing fine hence my surprise at the holy shit that kills pain of threading.

mamayaya · 12/09/2009 10:22

I love threading. I go to an Asian area and have it done there. You need to do it every two weeks though to keep on top of it! Although I just do it once a month and cope with a bit of fuzz!
